i wanna take pictures of you but i don't want them to
know you've got such a nice face
cause you made me cool but i'm still a fool
i'll melt if you come over to my place
so if you don't want me to romance you
stop looking the way you do
cause i can't drink hazelnut coffee
without wanting to slit my wrists
since everything makes me think of you
whether it's 2 in the morning or 2 in the afternoon
i wanna ask how your heartbeat is
i'm afraid it won't make a difference
i wanna prove that i'm genuine
but just looking at you makes me want to sin
i can't look at my kneecaps
without hoping i'll get electrocuted

Another great album - dean wareham, joanna gruesome, lonely tourist, dorotea, the chills, manhattan love suicides & spearmint are all highlights but the whole lot is pretty darn great really martin kiosk

The name of this album perfectly encapsulates everything I love about Elizabeth's musical output from the Darlings to Allo Darlin' to these precious songs: an unyielding optimism that is never naive, and by being so, becomes wildly contagious. Some music tells you that "everything will be ok", but her music actually makes you believe it, even when the lyrics hint at doubt. Michael Feck
